India's BC Jindal Group will invest 150 billion rupees in Odisha to build a new greenfield downstream steel plant by 2030, with an initial investment of 25 billion rupees, aiming to achieve a galvanized steel capacity of 960,000 mt by 2027. The investment includes facilities such as a cold rolling mill, continuous galvanizing lines, and color coating lines. The project, developed through Jindal India Steel Technology Ltd., will ultimately expand flat steel product capacity to 3 million mt per year by 2030, along with a 200,000 mt pipe factory.
